Way back in the beginning of this thread, someone asked for an example of
Keith at his worst. I thought I'd give one example, using a widely
circulated tape.

Another Keith sucks example (dare I do this?) is the 5/8/77 Scarlet.  An
early Keith started out brilliant example might be 4/14/72.  YMMV and
please don't flame, my 9 year old Dead Head daughter uses this account
too.  BTW, she agrees with this.

I think that Vince was a better vocalist than Brent, especially in
songs like Eyes and China -> Rider, Brent commonly sounded like he
just smoked seven packs of unfiltered Camels and then started to sing.
This is obvious later in his carrer when the band started to play
really well....

It's not true in my case. My first show was in 1981. Although I like
almost all the different versions of the Dead, my favorite era is 72-74.

12-12-69 Thelma Theater This Alligator -> Drums -> Alligator ->
Caution is amazing, also Listen to the uncle johns band with TC in the
background on a calliope. This alone gives him a A+
